Itinerary

Day 01:

At 7:00 AM, our tour guide will meet you at Launch Ghat No. 4 and hand over the keys to your assigned cabin on the launch. After some rest, the launch will set off for the Sundarbans with breakfast and tea/coffee served on board. Enjoy the beautiful natural scenery along both sides of the river during the journey.The launch will pass Khan-Jahan-Ali Bridge, Khulna Shipyard, Railway Bridge, Rampal Thermal Power Station, LPG Gas Plant, and Mongla Port before reaching Dhangmari Forest Station, the gateway to the Sundarbans. Here, the Forest Department security guard will join for your protection as you enter the Sundarbans.The launch will anchor at Andamanik between 3:00 and 3:30 PM. You will wear comfortable clothes and take a trawler ride to visit the Andamanik Trail and Deer Watching Center located on the banks of the Pashur River before returning to the launch.Before sunset, the launch will depart for Katka, arriving around 10:00 to 11:00 PM, where it will stay overnight near the Katka Forest Office. Katka is a serene forest area of the Sundarbans with breathtaking natural beauty.

Day 02:

At dawn, start the day with a wooden trawler canal cruise, followed by a visit to the Jamtala Forest and Jamtala Sea Beach. Reaching the sea beach requires a 30-minute walk through dense jungle, adding excitement to the experience. Return to Katka by trawler and explore the Katka Forest. Then the launch will set off for Kachikhali/Tiger Point. Visit the Kachikhali Forest Office and freshwater pond, the only water source for the local fauna, as well as Tiger Point itself. Spend the afternoon at Dimerchar Beach. In the evening, enjoy a BBQ dinner onboard as the launch departs for Karamjal, timing the journey with the tide. The launch will anchor in front of the Karamjal Forest Department office, home to the Crocodile Breeding Center.

Day 03:

After breakfast, visit the Karamjal Crocodile Breeding Center. Following the visit, return to the launch and depart for Khulna. Arrival in Khulna is expected around 3:00 to 4:00 PM, marking the end of the tour.

DO’S WHILE IN THE JUNGLE

While inside the jungle; never be alone; Be in a group all time.
No harm to any plants in the forest & does not disturb the wild animals.
For any problem, always talk to your guide only.
Avoid the striking color in the jungle, use jungle-friendly dress.
Don’t use perfume inside the jungle, as it imitates the Wildlife.
Sundarban is a reserved forest and without any habitation by humans. For any unpredicted circumstances keep cool and cooperate with the guide to control the situation.

The tour will be flexible and the coordinator can rearrange the tour considering the situation.
Despite the best of intentions, however, force majeure can intervene, and glitches can and do occasionally occur – after all, you are traveling in Bangladesh with the challenge of traffic & infrastructural issues.
No phone signal works inside the deeper forest. But at some point, you will get a phone signal to call the emergency. If you use Bangladeshi Teletalk SIM, we’ll get better coverage in a remote area like Kotka.
Make yourself silent for the boat trip or walking into the forest. The best way to explore Sundarban is to keep silent and look.
