Itinerary

Day 01:

At 7:30 AM, our guide will receive you from Khulna Jailkhana Ghat and take you to the ship. Cruising along the Rupsha and Pashur rivers, we will pass by Khulna Shipyard, Rupsha Bridge, Rampal Thermal Power Plant, and Mongla Port as we head towards Harbaria. After lunch, we will disembark at the Harbaria Eco-Tourism Center. Walking in an orderly line, we will follow the designated foot trail, passing by a freshwater pond before entering the deep forest. On both sides, you will see dense mangrove vegetation with stilt roots — mostly Sundari, Golpata, and Gewa trees. Numerous deer footprints can be spotted, and if we remain quiet, we might see herds of deer. Fiddler crabs will scurry away at the sound of footsteps. After completing the one-mile trail, we will rest at the wooden rest house built over the pond before returning to the ship. Afternoon snacks will be served on board. Our ship will then sail towards Kotka Wildlife Sanctuary, located at the mouth of the sea.

Day 02:

Early in the morning, we will take a local boat for a canal cruise, quietly enjoying the serene atmosphere of the forest. From there, we will pass through tiger’s hideouts, deer grazing fields, and deep forest to reach Badamtala Sea Beach, about three kilometers away. Here, you can witness the meeting point of Bangladesh’s two prides — The Sundarbans and The Bay of Bengal. Returning from the sea beach, we will go by boat to Kotka Office Para, where herds of deer can be seen up close along the way. After breakfast on the ship, we will head towards Hiron Point or Kochikhali. At Hiron Point or Kochikhali, we will walk through eerie, silent grasslands. Deer will look up at you before sprinting away, and you will understand why this is called the tiger’s dining ground. Carrying this sense of mystery, we will return to the ship and set sail for Dubla Island or Egg Island. We will spend the evening enjoying the beautiful sea beach at Dubla before returning to the ship, which will then sail towards Koromjol.

Day 03:

Koromjol is home to Bangladesh’s only saltwater crocodile breeding center. You can see small and large crocodiles, rare species of turtles, playful monkeys, and even hand-feed grass to deer. After visiting, we will return to the ship and begin our journey back to Khulna/Mongla.

DO’S WHILE IN THE JUNGLE

While inside the jungle; never be alone; Be in a group all time.
No harm to any plants in the forest & does not disturb the wild animals.
For any problem always talk to your guide only.
Avoid the striking color in the jungle, use jungle-friendly dress.
Don’t use perfume inside the jungle, as it imitates the Wildlife.
Sundarban is a reserved forest and without any habitation by human. For any unpredicted circumstances keep cool and cooperate with the guide to control the situation.

Despite the best of intentions, however, force majeure can intervene, and glitches can and do occasionally occur – after all, you are traveling in Bangladesh with the challenge of traffic & infrastructural issues.
No phone signal works inside the deeper forest. But at some point, you will get a phone signal to call the emergency. If you use Bangladeshi Teletalk SIM, we’ll get better coverage in a remote area like Kotka.
Make yourself silent for the boat trip or walking into the forest. The best way to explore Sundarban is to keep silence and look.
