About Barisal
Barisal, often called the 'Venice of Bengal,' is the divisional headquarters of southern Bangladesh. Set on the banks of the Kirtankhola River, the city is threaded through with rivers and canals that shape everyday life here.

About Barishal Airport
Barishal Airport is a small domestic airport serving southern Bangladesh, located approximately 13 to 14 kilometres from Barisal city centre. Its runway was completed in 1995 by the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh and has since been extended. The airport operates a single terminal for both arrivals and departures, and currently handles flights to and from Dhaka only.
