About Saidpur
Saidpur is a city within Nilphamari District of Rangpur Division in northern Bangladesh. Established by the British around 1858, it grew into a significant trade and communications hub. The city's defining landmark is the Saidpur Railway Workshop, opened in 1870, which remains the largest railway workshop in Bangladesh to this day.

Saidpur Airport is a domestic airport located in Saidpur, Nilphamari District, Rangpur Division, operated by the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh. It is the northernmost airport in Bangladesh.
The airport spans 136.59 acres and began commercial operations in 1979. Its 6,000-foot runway supports turboprop and narrow-body aircraft.
