Cox's Bazar Airport (IATA: CXB, ICAO: VGCB) is the main airport serving the region and the gateway for travellers flying in from Sylhet, Dhaka, and Chittagong. The airport has been in operation since 1956 and is managed by the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh.
The airport is currently undergoing a major expansion project aimed at accommodating widebody international flights and increasing annual passenger capacity to over 3 million. CNG auto-rickshaws and local cars are available right outside the arrivals area. The beach and city centre are approximately 10 minutes away by road. Most hotels also offer airport pick-up services upon request.
