Day-01: Arrival at Dhaka
Arrival at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. Meet & greet at the Terminal-2 and transfer to your pre-confirmed hotel. Your Bangladeshi adventure will begin with an orientation by the guide. Dinner & overnight at hotel in Dhaka.
Day-02: Dhaka – Bogra (230 km, 7-8 hrs. drive approx.)
Buffet breakfast at hotel & proceed to Bogra. En-route visit Tangail Sharee village- we will experience here how the Sharees (local women cloths) are made. Lunch at UBINIG with organic foods. Hatikumrul Temple: This is a three storied temple where the first floor is the largest and the top one is the smallest floor of the temple. The temple is built over a high plinth. It’s around 15-meter square shaped temple. Later on, visit Mahasthangarh (Sunday Closed) – Mahasthangarh is one of the earliest urban archaeological sites so far discovered in Bangladesh. The extensive ruins of Mahasthangarh presents a glorious past of about two thousand and five hundred years of Pundranagar, the capital city of ancient Pundra Vardhan Bhukti. This earliest and largest city of entire Bengal, dated back to at least the 3rd century B.C., is fortified successively by mud and brick wall. Dinner & overnight at hotel in Bogra.
Day-03: Bogra-Rajshahi (200 km, 6-7 hrs. drive approx.)
Buffet breakfast at hotel. Start for Rajshahi. En-route visit Somapura Mahavihara (Closed on Sunday)-Somapura Mahavihara in Paharpur is known best Buddhist viharas in the Indian Subcontinent and is one of the most important archeological sites in the country. The quadrangular structure consists of 177 cells and a traditional Buddhist stupa in the center. The rooms were used by the monks for accommodation and meditation. In addition to the large number of stupas and shrines of various sizes and shapes, terracotta plaques, stone sculptures, inscriptions, coins, ceramics etc. have been discovered. It was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985. En-route lunch at local restaurant. Upon arrival at Rajshahi check-in at enjoy sunset at Padma River. Dinner & overnight at hotel in Rajshahi.
Day-04: Rajshahi
Buffet breakfast & visit Varendra Museum- The museum collections are a variety of sculptures that include Hindu and Buddhist sculptures, wooden sculptures and sculptures depicting different goddesses and gods from the Hindu religion. The Muslim period is represented through sculptured stones in the sixth gallery, where stone inscriptions in Persian, Bangla, Arabic and Sanskrit can also be found. More than twenty-two thousand books form the library collection and the library is also home to approximately six thousand manuscripts. After that visit the Silk Weaving factory (Friday is closed) and enjoy the processing of the silk clothes. Lunch at local restaurant. Later on, visit the Alpona Village (decorated mud house) and enjoy the lifestyle of the locals. Dinner & overnight at the hotel in Rajshahi.
Day-05: Rajshahi – Khulna (240 km, 7/8 hrs. approx.)
Buffet breakfast at hotel & start for Khulna. En-route visit Putia village covering 5 Ratna Shiva Temple, 1 dome Govinda Temple, 3 dome-Ahnik Temple, Old Putia Rajbari Palace and Jagannath Temple in Rajshahi. En-route lunch at local restaurant in Kushtia. Later on, enjoy mystic baul music at Kushtia Lalon Akhra. Dinner & overnight at hotel in Khulna.
Day-06: Khulna – Sundarban (via Mongla)
Buffet breakfast at hotel & start for sightseeing covering Sixty Dome Mosque (closed on Sunday)-The Sixty Dome Mosque, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a mosque in Bangladesh, the largest in that country from the Sultanate period. It has been described as "the most impressive Muslim monuments in the whole of the Indian subcontinent. Mausoleum of Khan Jahan Ali, Khan Jahan lived a religious life here from his retirement to his death on 25th October 1459. The tomb is part of a larger complex along with the Khan Jahan Ali’s dighi (lake) and a single dome mosque. we drive towards Mongla, board the ship from Mongla ghat and head to the true wilderness of the Sundarbans National Park. It is home to the largest mangrove forest in the world, located in the Ganges and Brahmaputra River deltas. This gigantic park covers an area of 10,000 km2, more than half of which lies in Bangladesh and the rest in neighboring India. Many plant and animal species live here, the most famous of which is the Royal Bengal Tiger! There will certainly be no shortage of experiences on this two-day cruise! Lunch & Dinner and overnight on the ship.
Day-07: Sundarban
This early morning the motorboat continuous to the bay of narrow canals, Dramatic excitement begins when you switch over to ‘country-boat’ rowing along picturesque view of thickness Mangrove Forest with absolute silence prevails-discover pugmarks of ‘Royal Bengal Tiger’ various species of Kingfisher and home of crocodile. Later guarded by forest rangers, and local experts, time to explore Katka Beach & Katka wild life of Sundarban by walking tours. Do not miss out capturing spotted deer (Chital Horin), different species of macaque Monkeys and mongoose, wild boar, endanger reptiles and Indian python, and explore as many species of birds out 260. Lunch, dinner and overnight at vessel.
Day-08: Sundarban – Barisal [120KM 4/5 hours travel approx.]
After breakfast disembark from the ship and proceed to Barisal. En-route lunch at local restaurant. Visit the floating market -appears as the center of Barisal’s (aka The Venice of Bengal) beauty. Nobody knows when the idea of this floating market began, but it’s a hundred-year old tradition.Lunch on the way. After that we will visit Guthia Mosque- the Baitul Aman Jame Masjid Complex, commonly known as Guthia Mosque of Barisal, is a mosque complex of Bangladesh having a land area of 14 acres, comparing to the 8.30 acres land area of the national mosque Baitul Mukarram of the country. Dinner & overnight at the hotel in Barisal.
Day-09: Barisal – Dhaka [230KM 6/7 hours travel approx.]
Check-out from the hotel and proceed to Dhaka. En-route visit Largest Pottery village in Barisal. The four villages of Maheshpur Paul Para in Niamati union of Barisal's Bakerganj upazila have a long association with clay. For centuries the area has been home to potters and with around two hundred families still engaged in the traditional industry, Maheshpur Paul Para retains its distinction as the primary hub for earthenware in Barisal. En-route lunch at local restaurant. Upon arrival at Dhaka visit the Launch Repairing Yard at Dhaka. Dinner & overnight at the hotel in Dhaka.
Day-10: Departure
Breakfast at hotel and check out. Visit National Parliament House (from outside) is the house of the Parliament of Bangladesh, located at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the Bangladeshi capital of Dhaka. Designed by architect Louis Kahn, the complex, is one of the largest legislative complexes in the world, comprising 200 acres (800,000 m²). Construction began in 1961. Shopping at Aarong (local handicraft). After lunch transfer to the Hazrat Shah Jalal International airport for final departure.
