Patan Durbar Square
Located in the city of Lalitpur, Patan Durbar Square is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Kathamandu as it showcases the ancient architecture and traditions throughout the historical landmarks such as temples, palaces and houses. The place was patronised by the Malla Kings who were fond of arts and architecture in ancient times.
Boudhanath Stupa
Built in the 5th century, Boudhanath Stupa is a 2500 years old Buddhist Stupa. It is located in the valley, where Buddhist Pilgrims can be seen moving rounding around the Stupa and spinning the prayer wheels.
Swayambhumnath temple
Nepal has many UNESCO World Heritage Sites, which will give you a sense of historical moments/and take you through time. If you want to see monkeys wandering around, just visit the Swayambhumnath temple also known as the monkey temple. It is also locally known as Samhengu.
Pashupathinath temple
Another famous temple of Kathmandu is the Pashupathinath temple. It is one of the holiest religious landmarks among the Hindu Community located at the Bagmati River on the Eastern outskirts of Kathmandu. Hindu devotees visit this temple to offer their prayers to God Shiva.
