Chandpur, Bangladesh lies on the east central part of Chittagong Division on the bank of the Meghna. This beautiful place lies near the confluence with two rivers the Padma and Meghna. In 1984 Chandpur turned into District but earlier it was a part of Comilla. This amazing place has its fame for the national fish of our country.

How to reach Chandpur?
You can reach Chandpur from Dhaka in any transportation that you prefer or suitable for you from bus or waterway. It takes around 4-5 hours to reach Chandpur by road from Dhaka. You can easily find a bus ride as there are many Busses available.
To have a comfortable journey the most preferred transportation is waterway. From Sadarghat (Lal kuthir Lonch terminal) you can easily find your ride from dawn to midnight. It will just take you around 2.5/3 hours to reach Chandpur city.

Tin nodir mohona (Confluence of three rivers) - If you are a nature lover then you must visit this unique confluence of the mighty Padma, Meghna and Dakatia river. The interesting part is if you observe closely, you will see that the three rivers got three different colours which is a unique view.
Raktadhara- This monument was built in remembrance of the martyrs. This was the point where the innocent people were tortured and killed. You can visit this historical monument know to all as Raktadhara.
Boro Station/Fishery Ghat- As the specialty of Chandpur is Hilsa (our national fish), one should visit this place, also known as Elish Chottor. In here you can bargain and get the best quality fishes in amazing rates. The taste of the fresh fish will make you visit there again and again.
Mini Cox’s Bazaar- It will take you around 15/20 minutes to reach there by Trawler (medium sizes motor boats). This island is quiet famous among the travellers. You can have an enjoyable evening there, having some fresh coconut water on the windy shore just like the beaches of Cox’s Bazaar.
